Clark Asset Management is helping individuals and couples plan for a secure retirement. We help people thinking about retirement replace their financial anxiety with relaxed confidence about their future. We are holding both the CFP and RICP designations. We are fast-growing $0.5B+ Fee-Only RIA.


As a Lead Planner, you will lead 125-150 High Net Worth client relationships. This role does not entail any business development responsibilities. Our well-established marketing infrastructure consistently generates new clientele.

What will be your job

  • Managing over 90 high-net-worth relationships, assuming full accountability for their cultivation and enhancement.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive financial and investment strategies tailored to individual client needs, utilizing various decision support tools and frameworks.
  • Continuously monitor and adjust financial plans in collaboration with clients to ensure alignment with their evolving goals and circumstances.
  • Coordinate with team members such as Client Service Associates, Traders, Junior Planners, and the Founder to deliver exceptional service to clients.
  • Contribute to the firm's growth by participating in recruitment, training, and mentoring activities, and actively engaging in team meetings.
  • Take the lead on non-client-related functions as required, demonstrating initiative and proactive involvement in firm development initiatives.

Job requirements

What we are looking for

  • Hold your CFP designation

  • 10+ years of analytically rigorous financial planning

  • 15+ years of total work experience

  • 3+ years running high net worth relationships

  • Developed over 200 comprehensive financial plans using leading software such as MoneyGuide Pro, eMoney, or RightCapital

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, adept at manipulating data, utilizing pivot tables, and extracting insights beyond standard planning software capabilities

  • Very clear thinker and communicator (verbal & written)

  • Well-organized and respectful of client service standard

Desirable knowledge, not a must
  • Expertise in MoneyGuidePro

  • Bring something new to the table to expand the capability of our team (e.g. CPA, CFA, Trading, Behavior, etc.)

  • Experience in an RIA (preferably fee-only & growth oriented)

  • Familiarity with Schwab

  • Track record of effective remote work

  • Track record of thriving in a small company "start-up" culture
